? #1: Leon Trotsky

Leon Trotsky (born Lev Davidovich Bronstein) was born in the 7th of November 1879 and died in the 21st of August 1940 by an ice axe. If you don't know him, he's one of the people that lead the Bolsheviks with Lenin himself. His life began with a Jewish family but that's not important so let's skip to 1896 where Trotsky followed revolutionary activities mostly related to Marxism and he was arrested for that and met a fellow Marxist which became his first wife. They both get exiled to Siberia and escaped a couple years later and got divorced. They also have two children who died before them. After this he moved to London and met fellow Revolutionist including Lenin and he also married his second wife and had two children who died before their parents again. In London the revolutionist talked about revolution and other stuff and eventually they split into 2 factions: The Mensheviks led by Martov and The Bolsheviks led by Lenin. He decided to join the Mensheviks but then changed to the Bolsheviks. After that Trotsky always wanted the revolution but with the Tsar watching them won't be easy and he was exiled again but he escaped and went back to London and hopped between Germany and Austria for a while until World War 1. In this period Trotsky is an anti-war sort of character and not many people were happy so he hopped countries from Switzerland to France to Spain and then to the US. At that point Trotsky stayed in the US until The February Revolution happened and overthrew the Tsar so Trotsky went back to the Motherland. After the revolution the Mensheviks took over and decided to still be at war against the Central Powers so Trotsky know it's time to strike. With Lenin absent, Trotsky took over the over the Bolsheviks and Lenin came back and the Bolsheviks overthrew the Mensheviks which marked the November Revolution.
At this point the RSFSR formed with Lenin leading it but after that a civil war started and Trotsky is one of the Generals in this civil war. After this point Trotsky didn't really do anything until in 1929 he got exiled. That point of time was not really the best for him but he at least formed the Fourth International.
In his years of exiled he criticized Stalinism a lot and in 1940 he was attacked by Ramon Mercader (a NKVD agent). Many alternate historians believed that if Trotsky survived the murder he may one day lead Mother Russia but that's a different story ;).

Thanks for reading:)

Have a nice day
